AILACTE Equity in Educator Preparation Award
The award will be presented to a faculty or staff member from an AILACTE institution who has been engaged in significant ways in the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the preparation of teacher candidates through teaching, service, programmatic work, and/or research.
AILACTE Faculty Scholar Award:
This award will be given to a full-time faculty member at an AILACTE institution to conduct research related to the impact of teacher preparation at AILACTE institutions. The $2000 award is designed to enhance the scholarship and professional development of the recipient and can be used for professional travel, support for professional work or other appropriate expenses. Again, we particularly seek research, new or already underway, that connects to the AILACTE mission statement and demonstrates the impact of the field of education. Early career faculty are strongly encouraged to apply for this award.
AILACTE Student Scholar Award
AILACTE is pleased to announce the AILACTE Student Scholar Award. The Student Scholar Award is designed to enhance the scholarship and professional development of the recipient. The $1000 award will be presented to an undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled (at least half time) at an AILACTE member institution who is involved in scholarly research. Award monies can be used to enhance the scholarship and professional development of the recipient and can be used for professional travel, support for professional work or other appropriate expenses. Again, we particularly seek research, new or already underway, that connects to the AILACTE mission statement and demonstrates the impact of the
field of education.
AILACTE Global Excellence Award:
The award will be presented to a faculty or staff member, department, or College of Education representing an AILACTE institution who has been engaged in significant and exemplary global education programming or practices in advancement of global/international, intercultural and cross culture education.
AILACTE Partnership Award:
The award will be presented to a faculty or staff member, department, or College of Education representing an AILACTE institution who has been significantly engaged in substantial P-12 partnership.
AILACTE Excellence in Service Award
AILACTE is pleased to announce the Excellence in Service Award, presented annually to recognize the vital contributions of those who dedicate their time, talent, and effort to strengthening educator preparation programs at AILACTE member institutions. This award honors an individual — including but not limited to faculty, staff, administrators, students, P-12 partners, or community members — affiliated with an AILACTE member institution who has demonstrated sustained and meaningful service in support of educator preparation. Eligible service may include contributions to program development, student support, institutional advocacy, community engagement, professional organization leadership, mentorship, or collaborative initiatives that advance the quality of teacher and educator preparation in the liberal arts tradition.
We particularly seek nominees whose service reflects the AILACTE mission: providing an effective voice for educator preparation, sharing knowledge and concerns across the field, and cooperating with others to promote quality education.
