Thank you for your your agreement to review manuscripts submitted to the AILACTE Journal!

Editors ask you to upload a blinded Word document of the manuscript with tracked changes and in-text comments reflecting your suggested edits. The manuscript you receive should have Track Changes already enabled, so all edits, deletions, and insertions made will be recorded automatically and visibly marked. Text edits (e.g., corrections, rewording) will appear in a different color, with additions underlined and deletions struck through. Comments added will appear in the right-hand margin, linked to specific sections of the text; these should be constructive and professional, praising strong aspects of the manuscript while addressing areas needing improvement. Reviewer changes are logged, allowing editors to compile and manage feedback efficiently before anonymously sharing with the authors. All comments will be anonymized before being shared with the authors.

Manuscript Information

Review (Evaluation)

Please rate the manuscript (1 = poor, 5 = excellent) on each of the following criteria. Authors only see the comments and not the score, so it's important to provide feedback (both praise and criticism) on your ranking.
Introduction*
The topic and purpose are clearly articulated, and there is a strong connection to the theme (if applicable). The manuscript reports on research that is timely and relevant to the AILACTE membership, which includes independent liberal arts colleges and universities with teacher education programs.
Literature Review*
The literature review cites appropriate literature to frame the topic, and includes all/most of the significant works to provide a solid foundation for all aspects of the manuscript. The majority of the cited literature is current (less than six years old). There is a reasonable explanation for dated works (e.g., seminal works, etc.).
Methodology*
The research methodology is rigorous and appropriate for the study. Appropriate procedures were used to analyze the data.
Results*
The manuscript findings will advance the existing knowledge base. Results are supported by empirical data and tables/figures used enhance and enrich the findings.
Conclusions/Discussion*
The conclusions, discussion, and recommendations are clear, conceptually deep, and firmly supported/grounded in the data. The author address the implications of the research for practice and future research. Study limitations are described.
References & Writing Quality*
The manuscript is prepared correctly in APA style and all citations in the text are included in the reference list. The manuscript is structured around the key elements (e.g., introduction, literature review, research methodology, discussion). The manuscript is focused, well organized, and clearly written. The manuscript is free of spelling, typographical, and grammatical errors that divert the reader's attention from the content.
